Hmmm...this is quite a conundrum. I would agree in part with some of the earlier comments; coming clean or at least breaking it off is indeed prudent; cuckolding rarely ends well. Unless of course, the husband is into that.

As to ways to get him to break up with you, as honest as you are, that may be difficult; it would take subterfuge, and generally reminding him why being with you is a bad idea, among other things. Raising your prices will turn his feelings towards you sour, that is true, but it may well defeat the purpose if he no longer wishes to repair your ship.

I admit, I was going to say "it makes you into a prostitute" except that's not really a downside in this case.

On the plus side, continuing to sleep with him because he's the only one who can fix the ship *does* make zir more honestly a prostitute.

Ehhhh ... I don't find their arguments that convincing. You're not thinking of breaking up with Thenel because he did you a favor, you're thinking of breaking up with him because various facets of the relationship makes you unhappy. And maintaining the relationship with him because he's the only one who's fixing your ship is *really* sleazy.

Then again, perhaps one shouldn't expect the Khtsoyis and the woman who's lying to him and cheating him at cards to be your best sources of moral guidance.

It's an actual flute made from a hollowed out bone. And while it's not commonly used as a slang term, I figured you'd get my metaphorical meaning.

[Bard needs a better translation here. It knows about the "skin flute", which is ... um ... maybe the same? -bb]

Beneath them there are undergarments, which in Grinwipey’s case — as I was unaware of before this moment — are embroidered with skulls and oboes.

Does this signify that Griwipey enjoys playing "the bone flute"?
